Description

A full week through the Andamans, starting and ending at Port Blair. The first two days cover the capital and its history - Cellular Jail with the Light and Sound Show, Marina Park, Ross Island and the coral reefs of North Bay.

From there the tour moves out to the islands by air-conditioned cruise: Havelock for Radhanagar and Kalapathar beaches, then Neil Island for Bharatpur and Laxmanpur. The last days return to Port Blair for Carbyn’s Cove and Netaji Flag Point, and a full-day excursion to the limestone caves and mud volcanoes of Baratang.

Itinerary

Arrival at Port Blair airport, meet and greet by our representative and transfer to the hotel. After lunch, visit the historic Cellular Jail, where the saga of the Indian freedom struggle is brought alive, followed by the Light and Sound Show and a visit to Marina Park. Overnight stay at Port Blair.

After breakfast, a day excursion to Ross Island (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island), the former administrative headquarters of the British in the Andamans, followed by North Bay Island (Coral Island), known for its coral reefs, ornamental fish and water sports such as snorkeling and sea walks. Return to Port Blair for an overnight stay.

Morning departure by inter-island cruise to Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep), known for white sand beaches, evergreen forest and rich marine life. Visit the world-famous Radhanagar Beach, rated Asia’s seventh best beach, and the picturesque Kalapathar Beach. Overnight stay at Havelock Island.

After breakfast, board a cruise to Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep), around 30 km north-east of Port Blair and known as the vegetable bowl of the Andamans. Visit Bharatpur Beach, popular for coral viewing and swimming, and Laxmanpur Beach, famed for its natural rock formation and sunset. Overnight stay at Neil Island.

After breakfast, transfer back to Port Blair by cruise. After lunch, visit Carbyn’s Cove Beach, 10 km from the city centre and lined with coconut palms, followed by the 1943 Netaji Flag Point where Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose hoisted the Tricolor for the first time on free Indian soil. Overnight stay at Port Blair.

An early morning departure to Baratang Island, passing through the dense Jarawa reserve forest and scenic mangrove creeks. Baratang is known for its limestone caves and mud volcanoes. Return to Port Blair in the evening for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Veer Savarkar International Airport for your return flight.

  • Personal Expenses: Any expense of a personal nature or item not listed under inclusions.
