Description

Six days between two of the best loved hill stations of Himachal Pradesh. The journey starts at Chandigarh and climbs into the Shimla hills, where colonial architecture, the Ridge and the pine slopes of Kufri set the pace for the first two days. From there a long, scenic mountain drive follows the river valleys north to Manali.

Manali brings temples, hot springs and monasteries, followed by a full-day excursion to Solang Valley and the Atal Tunnel. The tour closes with the return drive to Chandigarh, so you arrive back where you started with a complete circuit of the Himachal Himalaya behind you.

Itinerary

Pickup from Chandigarh and transfer to Shimla, a drive of approximately 115 km taking 4 to 5 hours. The evening is free for leisure or a stroll along Mall Road. Overnight stay at Shimla.

A full day of sightseeing starting with Kufri, followed by Green Valley, Jakhoo Temple, Shimla Mall Road, the Ridge and Christ Church. Overnight stay at Shimla.

Transfer to Manali along scenic Himalayan roads, approximately 250 km taking 8 to 10 hours, with mountain views and river valleys en-route. The evening is free at Manali Mall Road. Overnight stay at Manali.

Visit Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht Hot Spring, the Tibetan Monastery and Van Vihar. The evening is free for shopping and leisure. Overnight stay at Manali.

A full-day excursion to Solang Valley and the Atal Tunnel, subject to weather and road conditions, with Himalayan mountain views and photo stops along the way. Return to Manali for an overnight stay.

Check out and depart for Chandigarh, a drive of approximately 310 km taking 9 to 11 hours. The tour ends at Chandigarh.
